So… I Finally Found a GMAT Prep That Actually Makes Sense (Review of Tarun Sir)

Okay, so I have been putting off writing this for a while, but honestly, looking at the mess of information out there, I figured I had to put this down. If you are like me, you’ve probably spent the last 3 months doom-scrolling through GMAT Club, Reddit, and random forums trying to figure out how to crack this exam without losing your mind.

The struggle is real. Everyone says “just buy the Official Guide” or “watch YouTube videos,” but when you actually sit down to solve a 700-level Quant question, reality hits hard. I was stuck. My scores were plateauing, and I was getting frustrated with the big commercial prep companies where you are just a number in a class of 100 people.

That’s when a friend told me about Ace Your Test and specifically about Tarun Kaushik.

I was skeptical at first. I mean, every teacher claims to be the “best,” right? But after taking a few classes, my perspective completely changed. I wanted to share exactly why this is working for me and why the upcoming batch might be what you need if you are targeting Fall 2027 intakes.

The Real Problem with GMAT Prep

Most of us working professionals don’t have time to waste. We need something targeted. I spoke to so many students who were just burned out. They knew the formulas but didn’t know the application.

Before I get into the course details, I just want to show you that this isn’t just hype. I asked Tarun Sir for some recent results because proof is in the pudding, as they say.

Here is a quick snapshot of students from the last few batches who actually cleared it. Not fake marketing numbers, but real people.

Student NameGMAT ScoreBackgroundAdmitted To
Rohan M.760 (Classic)IT EngineerISB Hyderabad
Sneha P.715 (Focus)MarketingWharton (R2)
Arjun K.695 (Focus)FinanceRotman (Canada)
Kavya S.730 (Classic)FresherHEC Paris

Seeing results like Sneha’s really motivated me. She was stuck at a lower score for months before joining. It gives you hope that its actually possible.

Why Tarun Kaushik?

The thing about Tarun Sir is that he takes it personally. In the big institutes, if you don’t get a concept, the class moves on. Here, at Ace Your Test, he literally stops and ensures you get it.

He runs both Individual and Group classes, but I personally feel the Group classes are a sweet spot because you learn from other people doubts too. Plus, its more affordable than 1-on-1 but you still get crazy amounts of attention because the batch size is small.

Speaking of batches… I heard they are launching the new comprehensive batch on April 5th 2026.

If you are planning to apply for Round 1 later this year, this is basically the perfect time to start. You get done with the course in 2-3 months and have enough time for mocks.

The Breakdown: What You Actually Get

Okay, so I have the brochure details here, but I want to explain what these bullet points actually mean for a student (and add my two cents).

The April 5th, 2026 Batch Details:

1. 50+ Hours of High-Impact, Live Classes

This isn’t just 60 hours of him talking at you. Its interactive. You are solving questions with him. Most courses give you recorded videos and call it a “class”. This is live.

2. Instant Doubt Resolution – During & After Sessions

This is huge. usually, you have to email support and wait 24 hours for a reply. Here, you ask in class, or you ask on WhatsApp later.

3. Personalized Error Analysis and Feedback

I didn’t realize how important this was until I started. Tarun Sir looks at how you solved it and tells you why your method was slow. Its not just about getting the right answer, its about getting it in under 2 mins.

4. Elaborated Notes Access (The Global USP)

Okay, I have to highlight this. The notes are insane.

Elaborated Notes Access to All Students Which No One Provides Across the Globe.

I’ve checked other materials from big US prep companies, and honestly, none of them go into this depth. Its like a bible for GMAT. You don’t need to refer to 10 different books.

5. Small Group Size (Max 10 Students per Batch)

This is the game changer. In a class of 10, you can’t hide. You have to participate. It keeps you on your toes.

6. 5,000+ GMAT Focus-Aligned Practice Questions

You will not run out of questions. Trust me. I haven’t even finished 20% of them yet. And they are aligned with the new Focus edition, so you aren’t wasting time on Geometry (which is out of the syllabus now) or old SC rules.

7. Weekly Performance Check-Ins & Daily Study Plans

I am terrible at planning. I procrastinate a lot. having a daily plan sent to me keeps me on track. And the weekly check-in means if I slack off, I get called out (nicely, but still).

8. 20 Sectional Practice Tests & Topic-Wise Drills

These drills have “Smart Performance Insights.” Basically, it tells you “Hey, you suck at Algebra, go fix that” before you take a full mock. It saves a lot of time.

9. Expert-Led Test Review & Strategy Sessions

Taking a mock is easy. Analyzing it is hard. Tarun Sir sits down and helps you figure out if it was a knowledge gap or a confidence issue.

10. Collaborative Discussions and Peer Learning

Since the group is small, we actually talk to each other. Its like a study group but moderated by an expert.

11. Dedicated WhatsApp Group for Quick Doubt Support

This is where the real action happens. You are stuck on a question at 11 PM? Post it. Someone (or Sir himself) usually replies pretty fast.

12. 1-on-1 Mentorship Available on Request

Even though its a group class, if you are really struggling with a specific topic, you can ask for help.

13. 6 Months Access to Class Recordings

Missed a class because of work? (Happens to me all the time). The recording is up there. You can watch it at 1.5x speed too.

14. Official-Style GMAT Practice Material Included

You don’t need to buy extra stuff. Its all there.

Is it worth it?

Look, GMAT prep is an investment. Not just money, but time. If you join a class where you are just watching videos, you might as well buy a book and study at home.

What Ace Your Test offers is accountability.

Tarun Kaushik is tough on concepts but really supportive when you are feeling low (and believe me, during GMAT prep, you will feel low).

The fact that they limit the batch to 10 students says a lot. They aren’t trying to cram 50 people in a Zoom call to make quick money. They actually care about the results.

Quick Summary for the Lazy:

  • Teacher: Tarun Kaushik (Ace Your Test)
  • Next Batch: 5th April 2026
  • Format: Online Group Classes (Max 10 ppl)
  • Vibe: Intense and personalized

If you are serious about getting a 705+ you should probably check this out.

I am aiming to take my exam in July, so this batch timing works perfectly for a R1 application deadline. If you join, maybe I’ll see you in the alumni group later!

Anyway, back to studying for me. I have a pile of Data Insights questions waiting.

Good luck with your prep!
